TK Turkeys
Turkeys!
Colored a folded Coffee Filter and sprayed it to bleed through.
Accordion cut feet. pieced together the body and face.
TK Painted Paper Pumpkins
Each pumpkin had their own personality!
Painted papers orange on a separate day...
cut and created our own Jack O Lanterns!

Making lines across the paper - a big x and a big t. then curved lines inside...
Painted paper cut outs and then stamped legs with Q TIPS i think...
TK Monsters
We read GO AWAY BIG GREEN MONSTER! Symmetry!
Then put blobs of paint on our papers...folded in half and found our awesome monsters when we opened the paper!

TK Tigers
Teaching art with Directed Draw is my favorite. Breaking up the image with shapes they can identify and easily understand works so well. With this project - they created a large X on the paper and closed the top to make it look like a triangle. Then we added triangle ears and football shaped eyes...and a nose with a J and a backwards J. Amazing how breaking down a project can make it so doable for the kids! When the teacher first saw this project she doubted me...and was so excited about the results!
